It's Funny...

You know, it's funny. Not ha-ha funny, but wierd funny. It's funny how most of my generation is slipping away from reading and writing and, well, thinking, and falling into this blissful and twisted world that is technology. And when I say most, I really mean pretty much all.

I mean, I never thought I'd see the day when sending an EMAIL was archeic. An EMAIL! Email's used to be IT. Now I'm lucky to get an email that isn't from 'Facebook' or a stupid recruting college entitled "We want YOU, Sophia!", let alone a card! Now birthdays are acknowlaged with a post on your Facebook wall or a text saying "Omg hppy brtdy lol haha".

Oh the eloquance and depth.

And if someone takes it out of their oh so busy life to actually send a card, they're message is pretty much consisting of Halmark's regards and their hurried signature at the bottom.

All I'm saying is that it wouldn't kill our generation to actually pick up a book. And read it, not just pick it up. Or maybe write someone a letter. That's longer than your signature. Say a page.

It won't kill you I promise.

And you know, maybe taking time out of our busy life to connect to other people through the hand written word will force us to fill our lives with something with more substance than what we have now.

Hell, maybe it won't made a difference anyhow. But I guess it's worth a try.

You know what else is funny? Whales.
